About us

I’ve done handwork of every kind from as long as I can remember. My mother taught me to knit, sew, embroider, crochet and to be open to trying new things. She also taught me think and make sense of design construction.

After moving to Oakville in 1990, I took quilting classes in hopes of meeting new people and exploring new skills little did I know, it would be a fascinating journey that brought me to teaching quilting and owning a store. In September 2007, The Quilters Garden Patch doors opened.

Our store fronts on Bronte Harbour which features a beautiful marina, art galleries, shop and restaurants. We Feel very privileged to be located in a community of talented quilters and artists.

Our fabric selection process involves input From our knowledgeable staff members creating a widely varied stock. Moda, batiks, civil war, 30’s, Amy Butler and Kaffe Fasset fabrics. In other words we have something for everyone!

Wonderful instructors join us and always bring something new for us to learn.

As we continue to grow, our focus is to listen to our customers requests. We invite you to make suggestions and participate in making this your creative centre.
